Challenge:

A Stratus telecommunications client wanted an easier, more efficient way to achieve system backups. Because it was unable to back up its VOS files to an open network environment, the telco firm had to perform costly, time-consuming manual tape backups.

Solution:

To resolve this issue, the Stratus Solutions Services team recommended the SuperSync^™ Disk Array product from DRA, Inc. The SuperSync product is an integrated solution with online backup capability, enabling the telco to integrate VOS backups with its enterprise backup server. The DRA platform was installed on the Stratus^® ftServer^® V Series platform

Result:

Backups are now performed faster and more reliably, significantly reducing operating costs. The Stratus team completed the project in just four months, leaving the client with a state-of-the-art backup facility.
